If there is such a product I am not aware of it. The best thing is to care for the blanket gently. Machine was in cool water on the gentle cycle, and never put it in the dryer. Or, if available, follow the suggested washing instructions on the iron ons you used and it will last a good while for you.

There is a product called Fray Stop spray (a Sullivans USA product) that may help, as I use it for my raw edge applique quilts. In the end you may have to sew around the edges with at least a blanket stitch, if your machine has it, or a 2mm wide satin stitch if the photos and letters that you ironed on your blanket are too thick. It comes down to how your pictures/letters were made (ie. with the specially treated cottons made to go through an ink-jet printer, cotton you yourself pre-treated with Bubble Jet 2000, or heavy pre-made appliques)

For items you've received, just handle them gently, hand wash, don't use strong detergents like Tide (liquid soap or Woolite would be gentler on the surface), and air dry.

I think that anything you sprayed them with would end up making those areas stiffer and maybe even sticky, or just give them a different texture, while not helping much.

As mentioned, if parts begin to peel up, stick them back down with fabric glue or with a bit of fusible web, etc.

Wash in warm or cold water and don't put it in the dryer, let it air dry. That is the only thing I know of. If it were on something you were, turn it inside out before washing. (Front loader machines are the best to use in this case.)
