the end to human desire is fulfilling all those desires to the point that there can simply be none to fulfill...but thats impossible. The ultimate end i guess has to be death.

There is no end to desire, that is impossible. Anyone who tell you so is either in illusion or you are misunderstanding them. There is end to material desire. Which means giving up all desire for material sense gratification and selfishness. And there is spiritual desire. Which is desire to satisfy the desire of God. (also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, Elohim, Rama, etc.) This is actual desirelessness. I choose that. For wisdom how to satisfy the desires of God read The Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupda

Is human desire another name for sex? or want of money? prestige? I dont think they are ever gone, just subdued from time to time.

The ends, just to be on the safe side, when it comes, can be either one of these:
1.Boredom. Nahh. The thrill is gone
2.Memory Loss- You forget the reason .Why cant I remember why I wanted that.
3.Death or separation, departure , divorce ( all the big D's ) of the favorite partner, or spouse whom you have associated all these desires with.
4. Your desires evolve into another phase with growth and associated environment after reaching the next stages of your life.
5. Age.
6.Maturity.
7.Loss of energy
8. illness.
