The way he looked tonight he sounded terrible and looked horrible. That stroke really did alot to him. His distinct voice is nothing more than a hard to understand mumble. If I were to chose dates I'd say he might die in April

I surely don't wish death on anyone. Im sure Ryan Seacrest will take over. He hosts everything else.

I didn't see him tonight, but he had his stroke a couple of years ago. I think he missed one year of New Years Eve, but was back the next.

Before the stroke, he was termed the eternal teenager. He did look awfully young. When I seen him last year, he did not look good at all. But, I think he has a lot of guts to go on tv and let people see him after his stroke.

Many people would be too ashamed to be seen in his condition. I personally admire him. I hope he has many years to live. I've known a few people with strokes and so many people think that because they look weak or can hardly talk that their brain is gone too. Not true, most are the smartest people in the world. The stroke just makes you think that they aren't.

That must be so hard to have all your brains, but because you speak slowly that you are stupid. Dick Clark is quite a role model to those that have had strokes.

I hope he lives to be at at least 100 years old.

Not necessarily. Dick Clark suffered a bad stroke and it affected his speech. Another famous person, Kirk Douglas, suffered a serious stroke about a decade ago and is still alive. His speech was also affected and so he no longer sounds like he did in his movies. What I'm saying is that Dick Clark could go on for at least as long in his current condition.

Let's hope not, he's a great host, the stroke really hurt him though...... =( If so, or if he just decided to stop doing the show, they'd better keep his name in the title.....

i hope not. I hope he lives forever. Shelley Winters died about 6 months after her stroke, but hopefully Dick Clark has time still.
