Slash just did a bunch of promotional things with Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. Why not call and ask him? I feel sad if anyone buys their new albums..... or..... you never know how it will turn out.

They never officially disbanded. What happened was that the band members got tired of putting up with Axl Rose and quit one by one. Some of the members such as Slash, Duff McKagen, and Matt Sorum, are now with Velvet Revolver. This group has put out two CDs within a relatively short period of time while Guns N' Roses' latest project "Chinese Democracy" has been in the works for nearly a decade and a half now. I've heard the title track on You Tube and have to say it's not good and I believe that's the real reason this album has not been released.

The same thing that happens to most big rock bands, greed jealously and power struggle breaks them up.

Yeah, all the media reports werent kind to him, but well, noone knows how Axl Rose is in real life. GnR basically got its line-up changed, the only guys left are Axl and Dizzy (keyboard).
We're still waiting to see what their next album be like. Its called Chinese Democracy and its been in production for the last 10 years. Good luck on that.
By the way its Guns N Roses no more, more like Axl and the pussycats.
