they are very different. kingdom hearts is an Action-Rpg while most of the final fantasies are Rpg. that little word 'action' changes the entire expectation of game style
in kingdom hearts, you can move around, while you fight, jump, etc..
in final fantasy, you take turns (generally - but there are some exceptions), you cannot move, and you can't jump or anything.

characters from final fantasy appear in kindom hearts.....there are missions that are like puzzles and few missions that vary from the final fantasy style but otherwise the style is the same

well i can answer ur first question and final fantasy is more involved in its own universe and has a curve to it that turn based games dont have that makes it an easily replayable and continue with the series
