The fittest black people were made slaves. They were subjected to the harshest conditions, only the fittest of that group survived. Then the were subjected to selective breeding programs with the strongest males and females mated.

It's not a legitimate thing to do to people, but if you do, you can expect superior physical specimens. Consider sports that used to be played exclusively by whites, such as tennis (Williams sisters) and golf (tiger woods). Wait until they take up ice hocky and cross country skiing.

But they aren't. I suppose you might be able to make such a claim and work some sort of evolutionary explanation into it, but you would need to be more specific about what you mean by "Africans", "Caucasians", "athletes" and "evolutionary theory". Oh, and also "better".

It may seem like a joke now but you get out there and run with them every morning and see how long your stamina can hold up.
