I have a PC with a great video card, tons of free space, and running Windows XP. I got the Game Halo 1, but every time I try to install it I get a message that says: ``The package is not compatible with the version of Windows you are running´´ The game is supposed to be compatible with Windows XP, so I don´t know what´s wrong.
I installed the demo from Microsoft, and it works great, no problems. I´m getting frustrated, and I really want to play the game. Please help, or reffer to something that could help me.

Thanks to all, Happy New Year

i don't be conscious of precisely how the mute command works in a pc, besides the incontrovertible fact that he might have reprogrammed it to not paintings. yet this is mostly a lifelike humorous tale. My far-fetched end (under the perception that it somewhat is a working laptop or pc): He might have an outdoors speaker hooked as much as a pair mp3 participant or in spite of this is being far flung controlled with the aid of bluetooth or some element. The speaker regardless this is everyday sitting next to the different speaker to make it look like it somewhat is linked to the pc on a similar time as this is somewhat now not. Take a glance at wherein the speaker wires run to and unplug them from the provision. Make sure they are the speaker wires first. If that's not actual... adjust to the respond under.

Halo: Combat Evolved, right? Halo 2 (retail) requires Vista.

Update Direct X, update video drivers, maybe sound drivers.

Maybe you don't have the right service pack. I wouldn't think that'd have an effect, but it might. You could also look for a patch that might help with the installation.

Umm. From what I've read, Halo is only compatible with Vista.

Sorry.
