thank you - and Happy New Year to you, too. (It's also because I don't ask many questions. I am usually too busy answering them!) But thanks anyway! Persi

You are Yahoo! Answerer #66 in the U.S.A. and #107 in the world. That's pretty impressive, especially considering your detailed Answers.
You probably would be at the top of the list of Star earners if Y!A counted Stars for Answers instead of Questions.
And you would definitely be at the top of the list if they gave ratings for Keepin' It Real. The Emo poetry and the "It was a dark and stormy night" stories just aren't any good and I constantly see answers encouraging these abominations. It's like a breath of fresh air when I see your honest answer (and others like it).
I think you have asserted and proven yourself to the point where people know that if they want some sound advice they just need to click your avatar at the top of the Books & Authors page.
When there are these anonymous internet sites you never really know if somebody is who they claim to be or if they know what they claim to know. You, however, come across as an expert in the field and all I have to go off of is your Answers. I don't doubt that you are an author and a teacher and many others would agree. I think that says a lot more than a Star ever could. :)
Many more book contracts with huge advances to you as well.
**Happy New Year**

Well, we once had a friend in Alcoholics Anonymous who said that during her days as a drunken housewife she actually woke up staring at a starry sky only to come to her senses and see that she was under the table in a diner somewhere and the "stars" were gum. When she was at home, perpetually in her bathrobe and fuzzy slippers, she hid her Vodka in the steam-iron.
Nothing to do with Y/A stars, of course, but it came to mind and you can use "Nancy" as a charcter if you like -- litttle New Year's gift. To answer your question, it is true: just a click an there you are -- a little deserved recognition! Why don't people do it more often? I'd say "solipsism", but that was last year's word. This year's resolution is to be 'interested' instead of 'interesting'. So a star for you.
By the way, it'd be neat if Y/A admins. would allow giving "Black Holes" as well as Stars, for questions that suck all the energy out of the universe they inhabit.

hello contact!
this is the first time that I'll be answering your question. and yes, i think you're right about that, you don't ask a lot. I usually see your starred questions. but now I'm so surprised that you have asked something. you deserve a star!
there are many assumptions that we can make, however, i think it's no longer necessary to point out each. you know that you're doing a great thing answering all the questions in this category, just continue to make an impact. best wishes!
have a nice day! happy new year! ^_^

Gave you a STAR,really liked Titou's answer,he is a clever dog you know .
i wouldn't mind a few stars myself occasionally, but i never seem to create the right sort of question !.
I may just beg for some too. :-)
enjoyed some of these answers on here, but Titou's seems more in keeping with, giving out a Star and then having a greater excuse to recall a great story. :-)
I have to agree about the Black hole for some question's too !

I'll give you a star if you promise to include me in your next novel..but don't kill me off in the first chapter. You can quote some of my poetry or witty answers, most of which are original. I hope one day to catch up to you in points.

How do you like my keyboard star/ It took a bit of fiddling because it changes when I hit submit. I also gave you a star for the question, so put me in your next novel.

I often wonder why some people never ask questions, only answer them. No one knows everything. I'll give you a star cause you asked. Happy New Year!
