I'm looking for alternative ways for some older members of my family to be able to dispense water from their delivered water bottles. They currently have a standing dispenser, but it's becoming increasingly difficult for them to life the heavy bottles, even the 3.5 gallon ones. Are there pumps that would allow the dispensing of water without having to lift the bottles? Consuming water from the sink or fridge isn't an option. Thanks.

I just installed a PUR 3 Stage water filter on the kitchen faucet for an elder relative over the holidays, she wanted that type because several of her friends have them. It was becoming too much of a hassle lugging gallon bottles of drinking water up to her apartment. The water tasted and looked fine after installing it. That's one solution, many of the bottled water we buy is just filtered TAP water.
Good Luck, ;-)

I thought of a small water pump like the one that goes with my little water fountain. Mine plugs into the wall but I have seen some that run with batteries. I am sure a garden supply place sells the pumps without the fountains. My fountain was cheap, about $15.
So you could probably get a small pump for under $10.
You would need an extra long tube to go to the bottom of the bottle to be able to fully empty it.

sipon
take a air hose like for fish tank
get a piece as long as your arm you stick the hose all the way in the bottle and keep your finger over the opening of the hose pull hose downward toward glass and let go of the end and it will flow into glass...lift hose up when full..or you can pinch the hose with a clip or fold and clip to top of bottle and you will still have the siphon going
