My daughter dropped her DS, it still turns on but when moved shuts off. We think she shook something loose but aren't sure. Does anyone know of someplace that could look at it and fix it? When I bought it for her I didn't have the money to get the warranty so that won't work. Any help would be appreciated.

nintendo has a warranty on it that is good for a year after purchase. no extra purchase necessary. to figure out if you qualify, here is the text chart. the warranty does not apply to "accidents" or "acts of god"

nintendo.com has repair charts/set ups - but the link isn't working. however, with a little tweaking of the URL, i found it. in there, you can apply for a repair of the system for $75, instead of the $130 of a new system, since it seems the warranty doesn't cover it, due to it being an accident. - there is a number that you can call to see if they'll give you any leeway, but i doubt it, because that would not be fair to everybody else

The warranty should have came with it. If it's been less than a year you can get a new one for $5 from Nintendo. Just call tech support.

I'm really sorry she dropped it. :( I think you should find someone who works for nintendo and ask them for some help. If you can't find anyone who works for nintendo then go to www.nintendo.com, or whatever is listed when the DS is first turned on. You should be able to get some help. Hope you can fix it!

well, without the warrenty, i'm not sure who would fix it for u. but u can sell it to gamestop/ebgames for about 60 dollars and they'll fix it and buy yourself a new one. this is better because if u let them fix it to give it back, u'll have to pay about 100 bucks. check the store for more info.!!! good luck!

happy new year!
