Well, in an interview Nicholas Cage said. “I wanted to figure out what I could say that would really make people interested in what’s on page 47 without saying it, so I thought of the words ‘life altering.’ Whatever it is, it’s going to have to be life-altering.” So whatever is on page 47 will be major plot aspect, say along the lines of the map on the back of the declaration. Director Jon Turteltaub was asked in the press interview “Have you written yourself in the corner with this page 47?” Turteltaub’s response is that the page 47 idea isn’t set in stone as the basis for National Treasure 3. So, even the cast and crew of National Treasure 3 will is unsure of what is on the page or even if it will be used. On a lighter note, when asked again, Turteltaub said that page 47 contains the plot of Star Trek. At the moment, all we have to determine what is on the page is heresay and conjecture. So just wait, and see. Another complication to this problem is the fact that the writers are on strike, and as the director said, "they’re not going to tell me now because they’re on strike.” In the same interview Cage said that he would like to make the movie more international, possibly involving Asia or Africa, and his idea could have some input to what could be on page 47. I think that we all just need to wait and maybe this question will answer itself.

Yeah, aliens sounds ok at first, but when you think about it, where does the treasure come in? Atlantis sounds ok too, but what does that have to do with conspiracies and puzzels?WWII sounds like a possibillity, some people say that the Nazi's had a treasure of some sort. Any yes they mentioned the moon landing, but they also mentioned the kennedy assassination, and area 51... Maybe kennedy knew something about area 51 related to the moon landing! Or (here's a new one) WWI, what was the real reason Arch Duke Ferdinand was killed, plunging the world into one of the darkest wars of all time.. C'mon people!

Greetings from the future...it is now 2014 and there has been no National Treasure 3 made. We will all live out lives wondering what was on page 47. I shall try to run for President and find out...and when I do...let's just say I have no idea what you're talking about.

By the way...don't vote for Obama again. No matter what he says, ObamaCare doesn't work.

I have a feeling it's the fountain of youth. Why? At the end of NT2, Gates (Cage) says its "life altering". The fountain could definitely alter life. Literally. That's just a theory though. For all we know it could be aliens.
