I've met a few famous people; don't know who is the most famous. I met and talked with the following - some at formal functions, some at a cast party for a movie that my boyfriend was in: Rose Kennedy, Muriel Humphrey, Cliff Robertson, Greg Morrison, Geraldine Chaplin, Henry Gibson, Elliot Gould, Robert Altman, Lily Tomlin, Keith Carradine, David McCallum, and Peter Noone. I must say they were all very friendly and not at all conceited about their fame or position.

Chief Justice Earl Warren when he was governor. Later years, I used to eat lunch with George Lukas and Francis Ford Coppola in their little office furnished with threadbare carpet and orange crate end tables. We were all so needful in those days! Last couple of years, I met Dennis Haysbert while he was in Punta de Mita, Mexico.

Living in New York for half my life, I've run into a very odd assortment of "famous" names.

...Nureyev, Baryshnikov...Pavarotti...Anne Rice...William Shatner...Anne Bancroft, Harrison Ford, Frank Langella...Tim Curry...Tom Wolfe...Nathan Lane...

Sorry! When I start thinking about it and actually counting...the list of famous, near-famous, briefly-famous (lots of those!), and INfamous "names" is amazingly long. But quickly let me say that it's through no noteworthiness or effort of my own - as I said, living in New York and being a bit involved with the theatre and club scene brings you glancing contacts with a bizarre assortment of souls...

I was a child of about 14 when I met Winston Churchill. He came to our school and gave a talk - but I do not remember why! I remember being impressed by his voice and his choice of words. Have since read his many books and he writes (wrote) beautifully.

Probably Ronnie Cox, used to be a fairly big-name actor, though he might be dead. Played in Deliverance etc etc. Grew up with him.

Several others ended up in similar situations from that place and time.

And my step-brother was a middling famous writer for a while.
