I was playing this video game on my laptop and every time I played it I have to put my laptop in safe mode. Once I finished playing the game, I left the game in my laptop. When I started my laptopt, it was frozen and I tried to restart. It finally did restart, and now my computer is slow. I try to listen to my music, but it "skips"- like a scratched CD. How can I fix my laptop to read my music and stop it from beginning slow? HELP!

Trust me, your laptop is NOT evil. Something is definitely wrong, however.

Why not take it to Circuit City or one of the other places that deal with computer problems. All it may need is a good defragging.

It is not trying to aggravate you. You are just getting frustrated by all of it's idiosyncrasies.

Hello ,
"Everytime I played it ... " Therefore you have .. never been able to play it ? Perhaps the PC has only 1 Processor and you should what all new PCs have a Dual Processor for gaming and muti-tasking . How much memory space is available ? Navigate > Start/My Computer/right click C: Local Disc/Properties/view "Free Space" before you use the game and during . Notice the disc space difference . Safe Mode > when the PC uses absolute minimal running processes .

you probably trashed your system registry when the system went down. there is great program i use Fixit 8. It is reasonable and available OTC at most retailers. also it can be found at www.avonquest.com as a download. Norton, and Macaffees also have utility packages out there that are way excellent. The fixit program is about 35.00. a box peddler will probably run a utility package like that to fix it, it will just cost a lot more money. do the same job yourself, now and then have it for future service needs too. by the way this is common on PC's. be sure you got good backups. you never know. also, you may need to clean your CD om drive and check the CD for scratches.

you may have spyware or viruses or some incompatibilities on your laptop first run virus and spyware scans after that update all your drivers for video card, sound card and , direct X then make sure windows has all the latest patches. Also check to make sure your computer meets all the specifications for the game you are playing. not all games can be played on laptops especially if it is very graphic intense.
