Everyone I fell in love with was someone I shouldn't have fallen in love with!! I say that because no one is around now. Since it didn't work out, it would have been better to have never happened. They say it is better to have loved and lost then never to have loved at all. I don't feel that way anymore. I think I would feel better without all the scars.

Not so much "fallen in love with" as "done the wild thing with". I have done that with a lot of guys you wouldn't have taken home to mother.

Like california girl, everyone I fell in love with, I shouldn't have.

But unlike her, I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Yep, there are scars. But, they all taught me a lot. And I am grateful to them all. Well, except maybe one.

Yes sadly when I was only 22, I fell in love with a much older man, he was 55. But he had a heart attack and died. Everyone said he was far too old for me, maybe I was too hard on his heart

Yep, more times than I want to admit to. All of which seemed to think that cheating was the thing to do. That is why I am alone today, to many cheaters out there. I would rather live alone than be with a cheater.

Yes, my high school English lit teacher. She was ( is ? ) a beautiful woman, married, a mere 8 years older then me. I had her as my teacher for 3 years in a row. Looking back as an adult I know now she knew very well how I felt and yet she handled the issue with grace and style. Never did anything inappropriate ( oh gawd how I wish !! ) and yet never let me crash and burn either.
If I could meet her today I would thank her for being a wonderful teacher, and a lady at the same time.
