i was getting ready for a party, since it's almost new years, and i hit my head very hard on a wood desk as i bent down to pick somthing up. my eyes watered and i could barely breathe. in about a minute i noticed a huge bump about a third or a fourth of my forehead and a little bit of blood. it is still swollen and painful right now. i am pretty dizzy and i decided to ask this question to see if anyone knows what is going on, if i should see a doctor, how long it will take to heal, what i should do, etc...

If the dizziness continues, see a doctor immediately. Also if you get sleepy or nauseated, go to the ER immediately.

Dizziness after hitting your head?
(and it sounds like you hit it pretty hard)
May indicate a mild concussion.
Like above, if the dizziness continues, check with your doctor.
Nausea, blurred vision, or black-outs?
ER immediately.
No partying tonight!
