Too much light pollution where I live. I have to drive about 1/2 hour into Marin County, the back of Mt. Tam will do. I sometimes drag my scope out there to check out the Trapezium in Orion, and other cool stuff. On a dark night with a pair of 10x25 binoculars, you can see thousands of stars.

I live in a small town where there is not that much light pollution. And can see the milkyway easily, bright and beautiful.

This State is finicky that way. No two days are alike. But I have grown to love it.

Pretty clear.
I think I can see the Southern Cross.
I'm not good with astronomy, so I wouldn't know.
