save batterys? When I pust the power button it shuts off the whole system.
Any ideas...?

Yea same with me, i just take out the batteries and put it back in. Then it'll be off. And you dont have to reconnect it to the wii when you turn it on

yes. open the home menu and select Wii Remote settings.
then hit connection or whatever it says.
next, set aside the wiimote that has dead batteries and connect the fully charged one by holding 1 and 2 on the wiimote.
last, exit the home menu and get playin'!!!!!!

It will shut itself off after not being used Just leave it alone, thats all you can do
