Fish do not sleep like us. They....rest. They dont have eye lids so they stay at the bottem or on a plant or some thing comfortable and lay there and rest. They dont have eye lids so they cant sleep..

well in a way they do. I have platys and they always either go to the top of the tank and dont move at all. or they sink to the bottom and dont move. If I wake up to go to the b-room I usually look at my fish because there in my room for a second and I see them up/down there. they sleep with there eye lids open.

yes they sleep, they have no eyelids so it's hard to tell if they are sleeping they still move around but in slow motions like drifting.

They go into a mental state in the night or when it is dark, but they can't close their eyes. (duh) They also generally go to the bottom of the tank but still appear to be swimming.

Yes, they do. But they sleep with their eyes open because they don't have visible eyelids. I don't know how though.

Yes they do, my friend has an aquarium with saltwater fish and every night when she turns off the light the clown fish always goes down and sleeps with the anenome and the other three fish go and sleep behind a large living rock. They do this every night as soon as the light is turned off and stay in these positions.

They do sleep. But it may appear that they are not because I don't think they have eyelids, except for sharks...
