No, it was not Lynnette "Squeaky" Fromme, it was Sara Jane Moore who was just released.
Please read the article cited below... and it explains why BOTH of them are eligible for parole...
"Congress abolished federal parole for anyone sentenced after November 1987. Moore remained eligible for parole because she was sentenced before the change."
Chalk this one up to the numbskulls in CONGRESS! WHEN will they EVER learn????
Have a "seasoned" day.

Yes, she is in her 70's now. A lot has changed in the world since that happened. I'm sure she will not be trying anything like that again. But what at her age does she have to look forward to. No job, any family left. Where will she live, how will she support herself? It's going to be a ruff road to bear.

was tempted to ask if she still had homicidal tendencies toward sitting Presidents but thought better of it...so i won't ask,, 32 yrs. does seem like a long time for an attempt, can you say "political prisoner"?...wonder how soon i will be either bashed, or outright reported for my outrageous answer??? I remember when we still had "free speech" and "right to opinions" in this country,,back when we still honored the constitution..

I don't think she will find it a very nice welcome out here. I guess 32 years is long enough. But she better behave now that she has another chance to live free.

It's ok. 32 years for not killing someone is a lesson well learned. Life will never recover for her in my opinion.

No, she knew what she was doing then, and she did it anyway, knowing she'd get life. Life for capital crimes should mean that, life. I also don't agree with them releasing that man that killed his parents, unless they have someone else, he's not yet been proven innocent.
