canidates running for president why is inportant to win in idaho?

It isn't really, but the media wants you to think it is...Iowa has caucuses, rather than primaries, they are totally different systems. Also, they have relatively few electoral votes...The important day to watch is super Tuesday, That is when the two candidates are usually decided.

Iowa is only the first State to caucus. What makes it important is momentum. If a candidate can string together a quick series of victories in the first three or four states it makes them more difficult to beat. But plenty of candidates have won Iowa and not won the nomination.

Idaho? I believe you mean Iowa. Nobody cares about winning Idaho. It's important to win Iowa because it's the first. Go figure.
