I was reading a book, and the author who passed away at the age of 24 said, "when it comes to sex, there are more of those who talk about sex than those who actually do it, especially in the case of young males". On a little reflection, I would have to agree with the author, but the author did not live beyond his 24 years.
How about with older males? I think this is an interesting question, as the rule of Game, is we men are under pressure to show off. There is also a proposition that 20% of men do 80% of women, and 80% of men (miserably) compete for 20% of women.
I would have to say that even among older "single" males, there are more of those who talk about sex rather than those who do it. The reason for my saying is that when it comes to sex, males are demand and females are supply, and it is only few males who can aquire easily.

I just would like to get your thought on this seemingly silly issue.

Yes, there is at least a remote possibility that men older than age 24 talk about sex more often than they actually have sex.

Almost every body talks about sex regardless of their age but a lesser amount participate in sex for one reason or another. Ideally people participate and talk about it. Some people like to share specific sexual encounters and others like to talk in general terms. To me there is nothing more juicy than to hear from a reliable source the details of how someone I know [especially if she is a little uppity] of the opposite sex conducts herself during a sexual encounter. It makes her more fun to talk to the next time I see her. Makes me feel a little devilish without letting her know that I know some of her darkest secrets. In general I would say the young man was right. We talk about it a lot more than we do it.

You'd get some interesting responses if you posted this under "Gender and Women's Studies"....

To answer your question, I think it is true that talkers are usually not doers and vice versa. In fact, the talkers are probably trying to make up for the lack of the real thing in their lives by talking about it! But this is not always the case: some people just love talking about sex, as well as doing it.

Supply can be a problem for women too, ESPECIALLY in terms of QUALITY!!

As a woman, if I KNEW a guy who often talked about sex, I would be less likely to want to engage in sex, or any other relations, with him. So maybe that's right that more TALK than DO.

First off women demand sex too and some men don't really care if they get it or not. In life some people are talkers others are doers. It doesn't matter how old you are that is just the way it is. I also found that the ones who like to talk about it are too busy talking to do it.
