LOL- Never heard of this, but however I did 3 loads of laundry today. ( Just read the web site a posters left above me)
Well . guess someone is going to die this year in my family, and then again what's new; every year I've lost friends, and family members. We all got to go some time, Right?
Happy New Year ;-)

My mom taught me years ago that you don't wash clothes or clean house on New Year's Day (she never said anything about New Year's Eve though) becuase how you spend New Years is how you will spend the rest of the year. So in my family, New Year's Day is a family day with movies, tv, puzzles, and games favored over laundry and dishes.

It's nothing but some kind of superstition, just like bad luck when a black cat crosses the road in front of your car.

So you don't wash out the luck? I don't know xD
I know that in the Vietnamese culture, [during new years in Feb] when you're sweeping outside, you're supposed to bring in the stuff that you're sweeping, its supposed to be like money and luck. Something like that xD
I hope I gave you some sort of idea.

I have never heard of this before? I washed clothes today too. Maybe it's some kind of superstition or something.
