The Honda Civic EX/ LX trims are as follows

The LX gives you

Power Windows, Door Locks, Power Mirrors, and a AM/FM/CD. The Wheels are steel with hubcaps.
A 120 Watt sound system with 4 speakers and yes, you get an i-Pod hookup in the LX.

The EX gives you a 160 Watt sound system with 6 speakers, as well as a Power Moonroof, Steering Wheel audio controls, and Alloy Wheels with 4 Wheel Disc Brakes.

The engine is the same in both cars (140 HP) as is the transmission ( 5 speed Auto or Manual), identical climate control, and all come with standard front, side, and curtain airbags.

The only difference between the 2007 and the 2008 besides the price increase that is normal for each year is the EX has a Leather option that will come standard with the XM radio and heated seats and mirrors.

Price! The EX costs more, over $1,000 more. And what do you get for it? More storage areas in the car to inundate with junk, a sunroof for someone to break into, a more sophisticated stereo system that is probably no better (and if you want MP3 capability, the LX has it just like the EX does).

You already get floor mats with the LX. You could look over both cars carefully but I doubt that the EX has much more ground clearance in the front than the LX (this is a problem but probably one for the EX as well). I don't think that the outside door knobs on the EX are any better (I got my hand a little bruised once opening an LX) and I don't think the car is designed to be much, if any, bigger. The EX has alloy wheels, that's probably a little nicer.

Well, I think the LX is good enough. But if you like the sunroof in the EX and want what might be a slightly better car, and you can afford the EX (I couldn't), then maybe get the EX.

I have highlighted few difference between the two civic model,have a look:-

=> Standard transmission of Honda Civic LX is 6-speed manual where Honda Civic EX has Automatic CVT.
=> Ignition switch of Honda Civic LX on the other hand Honda Civic EX has Push button
=> Honda Civic EX has Touch Screen Radio.
=> Honda Civic EX has Next-Gen HondaLink™ which is not available in Honda Civic LX.

The EX is the highest trim (besides Si) and has the biggest engine and nicer interior..I'm not too familiar with the 07's or 08's, but either way, the EX is better/nicer than the LX.

Get the Accord if you don't want to modify anything, but get the Civic if you want to change it up.
