I think as with most things common sense should take care of your question. So let's use some common sense...
Are you downloading songs that you have paid for? Or are you downloading songs that you have not paid for thereby infringing on the copyright protections afforded to the artist?

It depends according to the type of music it is anything downloaded from P2P or ripped wouldn't be. IF guidlines clearly mention that using their systems to spread illegal files is against the law. However, if you know the music your spreading out is free and under non-copyright you should be fine. ;)
