No. Do not bathe cats. They bathe themselves. Bad karma to bathe cats. The only time it is permissible is medically--flea bath, fell in slime,etc. Cats are very odor(scent) conscious and to bathe them erases their 'identity'. If you clean up their bedding and litter area too nicely, you are telling them: 'you don't live here'. Be nice to your kitty and let her know she belongs.

Yup......just toss 'em in the washing machine for a few minutes, and 'Wa-Laaa'......Clean-Kitty...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes my male cat wasn't cleaning his bottom real well. I would wipe him w a baby wipe. He would go crazy cleaning himself to get the baby smell off that he learned to just clean it. My female cat when small had a stinky butt one day and I plopped her in the sink and washed her butt with some stinky lavendar soap someone gave me(should have regifted) well it only took that one time and her butt has never smelled since.

sure. Persians love water- walks along the tub edge and "falls" into the water- he loves Vitabath!
Only time a cat scratched me was when we ran out of hot water

I've only done it a couple of times when it felt like something had gotten on her fur. I have wipes now too that make quick jobs easier. Other than that, no. She keeps herself very clean so I don't have to. Which is a good thing because when I have had to bathe her, it has not been a good time for either of us.
