Here we are in Australia trying to knock it out of our kids, & you want to learn it? Get real, the Americans have bastardised the English language enough as it is.

In the northeast we say wicked in place of "really". For example, That bread is wicked good. That girl is wicked pretty. I am wicked tired. etc etc

Some people use the word wicked to describe something, meaning it's cool. But that's not as common in the northeast.

Here is my favorite from Texas:
We say "fixin'" a lot (fixing), meaning "getting ready to..."

As in "We are fixin' to go to the show."

Translate: We are getting ready to (or 'are about to') go to the movie theater.

Fixin' is as important in local language as ya'll. Ya'll, though, is important and important to understand. There's ya'll (Ya'll be careful, now! Singular, means 'you'), ya'll plural (Ya'll come on back and see us, now!) and "all ya'll" (All ya'll kids quit wallerin' around on the good couch!).

Good luck!
