Believe me, I know. It makes you feel better but you're not. And it's a bad habit to get into.

It's not the way alcohol works and never for depression.Alcohol itself is a very strong depressant and has been used since ancient times to calm down highly excited, strung, scared or emotionally overworked/over excited people.By lowering our inhibitions,it can help in changing moods but at a very high cost to body and mind. You are welcome to have a pick.

Alcohol IS a depressant believe it or not. It depresses what is reality to you at that time. This is why it gives people the impression that things are "better", or they feel less of whatever they are feeling. It "numbs" your brain. It also tends to open up feelings that are suppressed - making a shy person bold, and a bold person outright aggressive. Most people get hooked on this "comfortably numb" feeling VERY quickly - it is a relatively inexpensive and legal drug.

PERSONALLY, booze makes me VERY aggressive and I do NOT like the effects it has on ANYONE else. I consider it a VERY dangerous drug - both on your body and ESPECIALLY on your mind - use with EXTREME caution - I can think of a few illegal things I would MUCH rather see people using any day over alcohol.

It doesn't always work that way. Sometimes it can make you more depressed or make you feel like crying. Other times you might think you're having fun but you take risks that you shouldn't or say things you regret later. Any time you use a substance to try to "fix" your mood that is the beginning of addictive behavior.

Its fun and it makes you feel better if you don't over do it, if your not a heavy drinker, it will make you feel better the first few times, but if you continue to drink on a normal basis for every time you feel depressed, it will eventually start to intensify your mood vs change it, and after that, you will begin a pattern of dependence on alcohol, and after that it can take you to the point where you let it disrupt other things in your personal life and professional life alike, so my advice is be careful, and don't let it become a habit and addiction, so have a good time tonight, drink you a few, stay out of the car behind the wheel, and happy new year, hope your new year brings new and positive light on your life.

After the high comes the low.In moderation you can have a good time with drink if your sensible, but if you use it to suppress your depression you'll end up paying for it.When that depression comes back,it'll comes back worse.WARNING Don't use alchohol to gloss over depression. You'll end up with a serious drink problem at best or you'll end up in a mental institution, jail or graveyard at worse

It can be great fun i agree and when your with your mates it's even better alot of the time when i drink i feel better about myself i also have lots and lots of confidence and you don't care what you say.

But.......at the same time it can have the opposite effect
drinking can sometimes make you think about things that has happened to you in the past and make u feel very emotional

I no beacuse i'm talking from experience
