Hersheypark is loads of fun. HP is geared towards families with older children, teens, and college age persons, but the do have some kiddie rides for the younger ones. a few years ago HERCO (hershey ent. & resorts co) aquired Dutch Wonderland, in nearby lancaster pa (about 30-40 minutes away). DW is geared towards families with children under the age of 12 and HP is basically the next step up. as far as HP goes, they are getting a new roller coaster, which will be absolutely amazing. chocolate world, which is right next door to HP (and within walking distance, about 100 yds or less from the park entrance) is a nice break from the park, with a FREE tour ride of how the chocolate is made in the factory, a piece of chocolate at the end, chocolate shops, ice cream store, a cafe, and the recently added KISSWorks (where children can "make" their own candy and keep it for a small cost).

No I haven't been there but i've seen it on TV - The hershey hotel - and it looks amazing! There's chocolate massage where people massage you and rub chocolate lotion on your back, there's a candy amusement park, everything - soaps, shampoos - are chocolate flavored in the hotel. There's a candy shop with hershey bars about 2 or 3 feet long!! Don't be sad about going there!! It's great for the whole family and I would DO ANYTHING to go there!!

I live about 2 hours from Hershey and it isn't directed toward younger kids. It has a lot of fun attractions and the chocolate factory ride never gets old. It's a good time for all.

It is for a younger crowd, but once you enter the park, you'll feel younger straight away. Watch out for the roller soaker if you don't want to get wet.
