I have a 84 chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 And I am planning on taking the stick shift out and swapping in an automatic. My question is will the transfer case on my manual fit on the automatic tranny?

The reason i want to change it is because its a mud racing truck and its real hard to shift gears goin down the drag strip.

Assuming that the common for that year np208 is what you have it will but you will need another adapter. You need to make sure your tranny comes from a 4x4 and get the adpter with it. If you are into hard 4x4ing and got a 205 case then it will be harder to fing the adapter and may have to change the input shaft. The first question many will ask is why. I would trade my auto for a np435 or np465 4 speed in a minute. If you are not sure what you have for a tranny or t-case go to a place like coloradok5.com or carolinak5.com and you will find worlds of information on your truck even though it is a k10 like mine. Lots of good people and information at these sites.
