I think this tells us two very important things about Huckabee's campaign.
1. He's not above sneaky tricks. His "You wouldn't believe me otherwise" excuse is a very bad lie, as there were plenty of people involved with the production and contracts for the run of such a commercial to verify the story without actually showing it. Huckabee obviously wanted a roomful of reporters to see his anti-Romney message and do the dirty work for him. I have little doubt that he'll be telling reporters "I didn't mean for THAT to happen!" when it comes back to bite him afterwards about going negative.
2. The Huckabee campaign is running very low on money. Airing an ad on television is pretty expensive. Inviting a bunch of reporters to see it is not. Besides, after Huckabee's big after-Christmas "million dollar money bomb" failed to bring in even a tenth of a million dollars, (I think the grand total was $85,000) I noticed his campaign efforts seem to have been limited mostly to free press events.
I'm just as glad to see him expose himself for the shyster he really is before the primaries begin.

Early on, I supported Huckabee. His inability to use good judgment under pressure has caused me to switch my support to Fred Thompson. I believe that Fred is the ONLY candidate that can reverse this tendency toward a Socialist/Marxist TYRANNY and march toward a "One World Government". Thompson has a history of logical decision making and can bring the moderate centers of both parties together. He alone may have the ability to reduce the influence of the extremes.

Romney was showing many successful negative adds in Iowa against Mike, so Mike reluctantly decided to make his own. The day it was supposed to air, Mike changed his mind and pulled them. However, it was too late for the early showings to be pulled. Does that make it like it never happened? No. But I'm glad Mike pulled them. I can understand how he feels, because those adds are filled with half-truths and outright lies. I can't really blame Mike, because I might have felt like doing the same thing. They were pulled after some were shown, though, so he's not a hypocrite. He's a good man that gets upset like everyone else. Go Huckabee!

The whole thing was staged as a publicity stunt, and it worked. What do you think he's paying that big shot campaign manager for?

And he claims to take the moral high ground while he is doing it. He must have learned that level of hypocrisy somewhere in his background, could it be Christianity has failed Huckabee so early in the race? When you "pull an ad" you don't turn around and show it in a press conference! This is not the person we should entrust our national leadership to, no way.

He can say that they same way he says that he against amnesty when he has a history of rewarding illegals. He is a liar and thinks we are too stupid to catch on.
