Sure! As long as they aren't trying to get you on to the drugs, why not be friends? But I would advise leaving the room as soon as they light up, because the stuff smells very strongly and if you get it in your clothes, people could easily think that you too are smoking weed.

If your friend starts smoking a little too much, then you need to tell his/her parents.

It depends on how much I care about the person.

But in general, I would continue to be their friend as long as they continued to be responsible and considerate and did not put me at risk of run-ins with the law or danger to my health.

I wouldn't because you never know where things that like can lead into. I respect myself too much to put myself in a situation where I could be physically, emotionally, or mentally harmed in any way.
