i have a 98 volvo s70. there are little things i want to fix aside from the repair shop on my own but where can i buy parts inexpensively online? anyone have experience with a site they use or heard about?

Usually your town will have a salvage yard, or "pick & pull" type places...they R usually upfront about what they have...(is your car obsure or antique.....I might do a google seach using there tpyes of search words;then narrow to your specific make & model....onlineautosalvage.com etc.
sometimes the "real world is better as you can see the overall maintence on the auto, & make offers...its less restrictive than online auctions like Greedbay,Shopsiilyya;and all

Ebay and Froogle are good be sure to do a bit of homework on the seller, otherwise sign up on a Volvo forum and look what others have said (they say everything there) plusthe forums give you DIY (do it yourself) instructions often with pics (way better then those that come with parts) and the right part to buy

I'd think it would be a good car. Toyota's are good! I don't think the guy knows what he's talking about with the gas mileage. You might look on ebay for parts.
