I have 3 yellowslab and 2 auratus and 1 tiger barbe fish, i recently received the yellowslab and auratus fishes but the tiger fish its been by itself for about a month and the friend that gave me the yellowslab and auratus fishes told me that the tiger fish might attack the other fishes or the other way around.

right now i have the tiger fish separate from the other fishes but I'm thinking in putting the tiger fish with the others, what should i do?

I'm going to assume you're talking about auratus melanochromis, the cichlid, since you also received yellow labs from your friend. The tiger barb does do better in groups, and I haven't seen many overly aggressive yellow labs, but I have seen some pretty vicious auratus cichlids. It may depend on how big the fish are, but I wouldn't chance it, not if you have an attatchment to your barb. He's not the one you have to worry about being aggressive, not in this setup anyway.

Tiger Barbs need to live in a group of 6! Your tiger barb will be having some problems. It will also be more agressive. Plus you have a Yellow Lab and a Carassius auratus (goldfish). Yeah, the tiger barb would attack them. Get 5 more, then put it in the main tank.
