I wanted to do this so that my aquarium filter doesn't have so much waste to clean. Any one have any past experiences or ideas?

Red eared sliders will pretty much eat any thing that moves, I don't think any fish would survive very long with a turtle. Also "suckerfish" eat algae, but they don't actually clean the tank. They still produce waste just like anything else. You could try getting a bigger filter, and doing more frequent tank maintenance.

If you get a "sucker fish" that is too big for the turtle to eat, and your aquarium is large enough for them to stay out of each other's way, it will be just fine. I have kept a plecostomus with a mata mata turtle (much larger than a red-eared slider) with no problems. Just make sure you are also keeping the water clean, doing frequent water changes, as it is true that turtles are very dirty.

Turtles and sucker fish will do fine. The sucker fish will be beneficial and will eat the algae growing.

Turtles really can't live with fish. Turtles have a lot of waste that contains ammonia that is toxic to fish. I wouldn't even attempt it personally :)
