Some stores are and some stores aren't. If you plan on going to a store, you might want to call first just to make sure they're open. It would suck to go out of your way and find the store closed.

Many retail stores are closed, but there will be many more stores open than there were on christmas. I believe most grocery stores are open at least....really depends on the part of the country though...
