YES, but only if they are licenseable...2 or 3 wheels make it a motorcycle...4 wheels make it a car!

I CONVERTED an old Honda ATC 90 to street, here is the picture...

there is also a Yahoo Group for homemade 3 wheelers (and others) here...

They can be. 3 wheeled vehicles are normally classified as motorcycles and can go on the street if they have all the lights and signal equipment required of a motorcycle.

Three-wheel motorcycles and cars usually are street legal, while three-wheel ATVs most likely are not.

There is a good reason why most major manufacturers stopped making three-wheel ATVs several years ago... They're not really all that safe to ride!

with proper equipment yes now some thing for every one in most states and if you are cited you can get it overturned in court. if there is no identiying lines on the road any motorized vehical may be operated in a safe manor. Safe being the key word here. 14 yr old kid screaming thru the neighbor hood hell bent is not safe.lol

In the state of Wisconsin, they are legal and can be operated with a standard driver's license, as long as they have all the lights, turn signals, etc.

It's not the number of wheels that determines Street Legal it is the Lights,, turn signals ,,Exhaust emissions ,, the ability to survive a crash and a whole list of other things so if you can get a license plate on legally then it is street legal
