It is snowing out right now and my mom's car is stuck in the parking lot at the place she works (a hospital, which is always open). My dad is literally freaking out right now. He keeps calling my brother for some reason, he keeps yelling at me because i'm not freaking out, and he keeps running around the house. Oh no, mom is going to be late, lets panic! I think he needs some anti-anxiety medication.

Maybe he's worried they'll be late to a New Year's party?
Actually, what I would think if it were someone in my family doing that, is that he's upset she might end up having to drive home when all the drunken partiers are on the road, and if it's snowing & icy there, too, I wouldn't want MY mama driving home then, either. But I don't think I'd be freaking out, really...
Does he not have a car he can use to pick her up, and she can get her car later or something?

If he's worried, maybe it's because he thinks someone will help her dig the car out and she'll try to drive home by herself even though she's not used to driving in snow. Maybe it's a light-weight car that doesn't have anti-lock brakes or traction control. Sounds like he might need someone with a 4x4 to go get her and leave the car where it is for now. He probably just doesn't want her to have to stay there all night and he won't feel better until she's safely home. I know, adults are kinda funny like that sometimes.

Freaking out doesn't really help anything or anyone.
I always wonder why people get upset when you're not freaking out too.

Well it sounds to me as though he is worried about her, which is normal I suppose. I'm not all that sure on how the snow works. I live in Califonia. But I dont see why he should freak out, I mean at least she isnt trying to drive in the bad weather, she is staying where she is. So to me she seems safe.
