I don't agree with anyone taking advantage of a child. I have children and I would be in prison if I found out someone took advantage of them. My question has more to do with why is it that when it comes to Michael Jackson so many people ignore the fact that a lot of these parents were sending their children to spend the night at his house. In my opinion I don't care if you are the ruler of the world I would not allow my children to spend the night at your house unless, and definitely not on your bed. I feel like many of these parents were overlooking that part and allowing their kids to have sleepovers with a grown man just for the hope of fame or money. In my opinion, the parents were just as sick as MJ.

Even when MJ was previously accused and settled out of court the parents still disregarded that.

"This is not the first time Michael Jackson has been accused of child molestation. Ten years ago, he was accused of sexually abusing another young boy. However, after the boy refused to testify, and after Jackson paid the boy’s family millions of dollars to settle a civil lawsuit, Jackson was never charged. Although the family in the current case against him has filed no lawsuit and says it does not intend to, Michael Jackson is still suspicious of their motives." http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/12/28/60minutes/main590381.shtml

"The boy — whose name and face we’re not revealing — has credited Michael Jackson’s friendship and support with helping him to battle his cancer. And last February in a British documentary that was filmed before the boy alleged he was sexually molested — he said that he had stayed overnight at Jackson’s home many times, and had slept in his bedroom."

This boy appeared on an interview with MJ sitting quite close to him. Where were his parents this whole time?

To Stranger: I may not know all of the facts about the case but, what I do know is that these parents trusted their children to stay and sleep in the same bedroom as MJ. My own kids don't sleep in the same bed with my husband and I unless for some reason my youngest is having nightmares. Regardless of how you MJ fans choose to look at it. It is a very strange thing for a forty something year old to want children sleeping in his bedroom with him. But, the most sickening part is that the parents allowed it to happen. I feel very bad for your kids that you would put them in that type of situation. Just because he has made great music, is rich and is known worldwide doesn't mean that he would not do something to a child and it is definitely not a reason to trust him with the very things you are supposed to protect. Young innocent people. Money is the root of lots of evil and in this case the root of reason you would allow MJ to have your child.

You're right. And all these instances you have cited have been discussed on radio and TV before. What kind of parents are these? It IS very sick, and in a sense promoted and enabled by the parents directly. But Jackson can afford to buy his way out of many of these situations. O.J. did it too. Except now it looks as if he may get pinched over stealing sports memorabilia, which is taken more seriously in this country than murder.

If you're willing to read this entire answer, I will try to be as unbiased as possible but after extensive research on the cases against Michael, here is what I have come to find out:

In the early 90's Jordy Chandler's mother and his stepfather introduced Jordy to Michael. They became friends and they did things that friends do. Jordy admits that he did sleep in Michael's bed but that when he slept in Michael's bed, Michael always insisted and always did sleep on the floor. Now you think well he was still sleeping in the same room, but I might remind you that Michael is a multi-millionaire, so his room is very large and he could have probably slept more than 30 feet away from the bed on the floor. Now here's where the story gets interesting. Michael and Jordy became good friends, Michael took Jordy places and they hung out and Michael was almost like a father to him. Well Evan Chandler, Jordy's REAL father because jealous of the fact that Michael was more of a father to Jordy than he was. In a recorded phone conversation with Jordy's stepfather Evan Chandler said this: "I had a good communication with Michael, We were friends. I liked him and I respected him and everything else for what he is. There was no reason why he had to stop calling me. I sat in the room one day and talked to Michael and told him exactly what I want out of this whole relationship. What I want...he broke up the family. [The boy] has been seduced by this guy's power and money. It's already set. There are other people involved that are waiting for my phone call that are in certain positions. I've paid them to do it. Everything's going according to a certain plan that isn't just mine. Once I make that phone call, this guy [his attorney, Barry K. Rothman, presumably] is going to destroy everybody in sight in any devious, nasty, cruel way that he can
do it. And I've given him full authority to do that. And if I go through with this, I win big-time. There's no way I lose. I've checked that inside out. I will get everything I want, and they will be destroyed forever. June will lose [custody of the son]...and Michael's career will be over." Now, Evan Chandler was a dentist, and he admitted to administering a memory altering drug called sodium amytal. When administered, this drug can cause the user to believe stories told to them to be true, even if they aren't at all. Up until before this drug was administered, Jordy Chandler repeatedly denied any physical wrong doings on Michael's part. Moving on to the end of the investigation and the settlement: Michael's insurance company made him settle out of court, Michael personally wanted a trial because he knew he was innocent, but he was poorly advised and ended up having to settle out of court. Now, with all of that being said, I won't even go into the 2005 trial although I would advise you to actually READ about it, instead of just listening to the news, but I'm pretty sure that the parents that do send their children to Neverland trust Michael. I know i do.

The parents let their kids stay at Michael's house just so they could have their children falsely accuse him of molestation so they could make a quick buck!

I agree. Michael Jackson should understand by now that it isn't acceptable to be sleeping with these kids whether it is innocent or not. And the parents shouldn't allow their kids near him..
