Charity, or to be charitable.
A real unconditional act of charity.
I would consider that noble (the word good is so overused, no offense)
Yes, I do feel that I am capable of exhibiting this quality and have done so.........although I'm not always so noble.

Humble, to be humble is noble, I think, but if I was really humble and modest I probably wouldn't have told you that I was charitable.

I'm not inclined to consider 'good' as a universal quality, if I do that, I have to define the essence of 'goodness' and this is something apt to get you into a naturalistic fallacy. The only two approaches would have to be: goodness as a subjective and personal evaluation, and goodness as something beneficial to general human happiness and well-being. Both of these have overlap and a measure of subjectivity.

If you associate good with pleasure, good it is what pleases you. If you associate it with use-value, useful things are good. Perhaps something with a little of all these qualities (and humans are very alike in their basic appreciations of pleasure, ease, use-value) is considered good.

"Man is the measure of all things."
~Protagoras

Ethics is different for every single person. What one person can think is good, can be bad to another.

If you let emotions and feelings take the wheel, the whole drive will change.

I can say putting my hand on fire is bad because I feel the pain and therefore my drive instinctively tells me that I should avoid doing that the next time around. My feelings and emotions have taken over rather than my reasoning. Reasoning can lock itself up and never show its face again for all I care. How can something that is different from one person to another as well as changing constantly be either "good" or "bad" but not both?

When you slaughter an animal or see an animal get slaughtered, your emotions(if you're one hundred percent human) will get to you. The whole good and bad thing will become clear even if it skips out on step 2(a.k.a. reasoning).

Go with the flow. There is no definite answer. That was just my two cents on ethics and morality.

That would depend on ones disposition. And I tend to think these things out instead of feeling them. After all, emotion follows thought, the brain's shorthand comparing one belief framework against perception.

Interestingly enough, in days (many days) past while playing Dungeons & Dragons, yes the original, the concept of alignment struck me as being profoundly poetic in its depiction of psychological alignment. The four quadrants: good, evil, lawful, chaotic became points on a two dimentional graph. Good vs Evil as X, Lawful & Chaotic as Y. I saw good as being the set of things that support and promote life, bad as the set of things that corrupt and degrade life. Lawful and chaotic were essentially law & order vs. anarchy.

Applying this to my own life I found that I was definitely in favor of life and order. Having Asperger's Syndrome kind of forced me into the order part, but I didn't know that until many years later.

So in answer, yes. Even this exchange of ideas as long as we are helping (or at least amusing) each other is a good thing.

Good is all about perspective there is no clear cut good and evil only ifferent peoples perception of them.
For example you or i might consider Hitler or Osama bin ladan evil however they and their followers do not see what they did as evil but saw us as evil for not doing what they thought was good.
I believe that i am good however there would be people out there you do not agree with me, i believe that all people should have the same rights regardless of gender, age, or sexual preference. and that we should treat other creatures how we want to be treated ourselves.
Surely these things don't make me a bad person but some people would call me evil for wanting women to have the same rights as men and for homosexual people to be given equal rights, and that is there perspective.
