That would be A and C. The philosophy was that of a blank tablet - a sort of "clean slate". We come into this world a blank tablet, and identity is formed after birth.

You misspelled it. Google "tabula rasa", and you will find more about this. tabula rasa means 'Blank slate" in Latin. It means we were born ignorant of everything and all we know it the result of our experience. Of course, the slate is still there. There are things we cannot know because of the limitations of the slate. William Blake was a mystical Christian. John Locke was an atheist. One reconciliation between the two is to be found in the works of Emmanuel Kant.
