Yes it is a Roman Pagan Holiday celebrating the winter solstice and the rebirth of Mithra the sun God. Historical fact.
Any one that says Jesus really should check their HISTORICAL FACTS!!! Easter has to do with Jesus but NOT Christmas originally!! Deal with it, that is the truth of it. And NOBODY died for me!!! I welcome the Winter Solstice the real reason for Christmas!! Happy Solstice every one.

Most people think they are celebrating joy, hope, love, friendship, and family. All worth celebrating, and partially true. Because Jesus Christ, as God, is responsible for creating all of these wonderful things. However, as the old cliche goes, Jesus is the reason for the season. Christmas is a celebration of God's love and salvation, brought to us by the birth or our lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Without him, the whole holiday wouldn't even exist. We give presents because the Magi brought them to Jesus. We put up lights as a representation of the Star that led the Shepherds to the manger. We sing songs that sing of the amazing gift received. Jesus and God's love is what Christmas is all about.
