if its to the market or somewhere close then no, they can pay me back by buying me coffee, if its from cali to texas then yeah.

Depends on the person. If I'm going that way or if I offer, No way. If it's a stranger needing a ride and it's out of the way sure, but I wont ask. You should do it, because you may need a ride some day.
