Living in Minnesota sure had its challenges at winter parties. I can remember going outside lots of times for fresh air and it usually meant time to throw up. Sorry, but it was.And the cold air helped but you did not want to pass out somewhere.

The only 40 below zero F New Years Eve I remember was in Korea, midnight-plus-one, January 1, 1964.

There's nothing like walking guard on a windy black hillside for two hours, hearing the music and partying going on down in Pong-Il-Chon, seeing the breath turn to horizontal icicles on the wolf fur parka liner in a place the world's forgotten to give a young man clarity of thought.

Maybe that is a good thing to help you sober up! Yes, I remember those extra cold nights when I use to be out celebrating. We are expecting 4 inches of snow here tonight and 40 miles an hour winds by tomorrow.Can you imagine...alcohol and snow? I am glad I am home safe!!
