It is the sun whose engendering heat
Succors and nourishes earth and men,
Who has the powers of fire and light
That give and take away again.

But who would not rather be the moon
With her cunning powers to enchant?
She muses in her evening room
On what mischief to conceive each night.

In reply to you asking your posted question: "Do you like it? "

I must say yes, I find it a very nice piece.

The only suggestion that I have is that you may want to revisit your L4, S1. What do you think about making this line a plural?

Peace,
Sam

Must confess, I have never be one that appreciated poetry.
The only one that I recall, that effected me emotionally was "Trees".
This one did the same for me, I enjoyed it very much. drew a very vivid picture in my mine.

The battle/love affair between the moon and sun....so many legends, so many myths...Amon-Ra/Nuit...giving to the all-powerful sun that she will be victor and rob his power...all for the good of quiet, nourishing of dew and time of rest for Amon-Ra's dwellers in his sun of 'renewal'...what a powerful poem this is! Ah, you know, don't you.......well done, well done in so few words!

Happy Celtic Renewal....their gods and goddesses had the same battle/love affair....you know that.....
