I just got a new radiator about a year ago for my BMW, and everytime i drive my car it is over heating? Anybody know why the gauges go into the red instead of staying in the middle?

I put Anti Freeze in it everyday pretty much and by the end of the day it's gone?

Have a pressure check done on the cooling system.

If you are having to add coolant every day and there are no evident leaks you may well have a leaking head gasket. This was common on some older BMWs. A pressure check of the system will help identify the leak.

What year is it? If it's a mid 90's BMW then there is a inset screw on the top of the radiator near the fill cap that has to be opened once you put water/antifreeze in it. That equalizes the pressure and allows water to flow through all of the radiator and engine. If you don't do this it will overheat.

Try changing the thermostat, and let it run with the cap loose until you're sure all the air is out.

The instrument panel on older models has a part that goes out, (Module?)that I can't recall, but it makes the instruments, gas and water temperature go haywire
