Okay so there is a chance that I am pregnant (can't test yet) and I am now sick.
I have an itchy nose, scratchy throat, and just feeling crappy. I don't have insurance right now so I can't go to the doctor yet and plus I think it is mostly just allergies. What are some over the counter things I can take or other remedies I can try? If I am pregnant I don't wanna hurt my baby.
I just don't wanna end up getting more sick b/c I don't have insurance yet.

Thanks for the advice

Use saline nasal spray to rinse out each nostril and then blow your nose real well. Do it three times a day and whatever you have will be cleared out in a couple days.

Tylenol is safe, but not tylenol cold medications. all cold medications cause complications, from deformations to miscarriage. Google it for yourself. Just because its on the "safe list" doesnt mean theres not a risk, it means that the risk is below 10%, and 10% is still far too high.

Gargle with salt water as hot as you can stand it. Use a saline solution nose drop, it's just salt water. Drink hot tea with honey and lemon. Steam your room at night. If you have an upset stomach there is an old fashioned remedy, coke syrup. It's just what it says it is. Coke with no carbonation.
peace

If you're pregnant you do not get a scratchy throat and itchey nose. You just feel like you're going to throw up. I'm 7 months pregnant and luckily have not thrown up once, but most women do. The number one thing to look out for is your boobs hurting and feeling sore. But medicine that is ok to used when you're pregnant for a cold would be sudafed and robitussin, you may also take tylenol. Good Luck!

I am 39 weeks pregnant and my Dr says to only take tylenol products, nothing asprin or ibprofen. Tylenol is the only safe thing to take. Dont over do it either only take what you need to. I was on antibiotics when I was first pregnant (didnt know yet) and my baby is just fine. So just take what you need to give you some relief like Tylenol daytime/nighttime. Good luck to you and I pray you feel better!! God Bless!

For your stuffy nose, you can take something like Robitussin that does not have a decongestant because anything that relieves mucas can make you lose your mucas plug which protects your baby from the outside world. Or just use a saline spray. For your throat, drink hot tea with some lemon and sugar. By the way. you can go to your county health department if you do not have insurance. they can get you on a program if you cannot pay. It's easy!
