As a neutral party here, I'd have to say conservatives would make that decision, based on facts. They tend to put "how it feels" aside and examine the logic in the task ahead. Plus cons are not angry by nature - another possible hindrance in decision making.

I like to choose best answer based on relevancy to my question. I am liberal but sometimes choose opposing viewpoints as best answer. This is because I do not define "Best" as "The one I agree with most".

Best answer is usually picked when the answer agrees with the person who asked the question. Not always, but usually. In politics, "facts" seem to be subject to interpretation.
