I had anxiety attacks, because depression and anxiety run in my family, I did not want to take medication. I didn't want to possibly worsen problems my child may have in the future, because he was pumped with medication, while he was developing.

I had medicaid for pregnant women, I spoke with my OB and she directed me to a psychologist that took that form of medicaid, because the anxiety attacks can affect the baby.

The psychologist gave me things to add to my diet, such as omega 3 supplements, (if you want to take supplements or vitamins, always get them prescribed though your doctor because over the counter versions are not as controlled, and may contain harmful elements, and impurities.) Also eggs, Nuts, especially walnuts, and almonds, sunflower and pumpkin seeds are also good. Meats and fish.
This helped me

If it only happened one time it is likely that it wont happen again unless something really bad happens, but if you have been suffering from anxiety attacks for a while its very likely that you may experience more attacks in the future. I suggest that you consult a doctor before something really bad happens.

Take a deep breath and think happy thoughts...lol not much you can do about it unless you have a hyperthyoid condition. And I would never recommend taking anti anxiety medication cuz that can cause problems. Have your doc test your TSH, & Free T4 for hyperthyroidism...Otherwise youll have to just deal with the hormonal changes huh....Good luck

I found the prenatal vitamins made me extremely anxious and suffer from symptoms of depression. I gave them up and went to a regular vitamin with an iron supplement, as well. This was fine with my doctor and I felt like myself again.

(I figured out it was the vitamins and not the hormones because I forgot to take them two days in a row and felt happy and normal, then took them the third day and felt depressed and anxious again.)
