The angry fans called for his head. He just didn't give them much hope. He just wasn't lucky. Better to be lucky than good.

Statistically, the Ravens did no longer have a greater effective offense than the Steelers. in fact, the Steelers have been the sole team to have a ideas-blowing-ten offense and protection, the different being the Chargers. That stated, the Steelers best concern final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days became turnovers. yet bringing this back to the Ravens, isn't Billick meant to be this "offensive genius" or something? If he's, then why did Kyle Boller suck plenty? Cheers!

yeah i think it was. but it was not all his fault. They traded away adalius thomas, ray lewis is getting older and older, simari rolle and chris mcallister were injured most of the season, mcnair and boller and injured forcing troy smith to start games, todd heap was injured the whole season, jonathon odgen was getting too old and done with the ravens for good now and derrick mason is getting towards the end of his career.

Yes. A 5-11 season after a 13-3 season is disappointing.

He lost the team at the end of the season. And when teams fall apart it goes back to the coach. And I'm sure the owner has had talks with the players about Brian. And the probably told him that the other players don't want to play for him.

Billick had his chance. In nine years he wasted a dominate defense and he never did anything to improve the offense.
He got what he deserved!

the Ravens haven't won a playoff game since their superbowl year of 2000. Billick was hired after Billick played a big part in Minnesotas setting records for points scored in a season in 1999. (Maybe Culpepper and Moss had something to do with that?) Baltimore never has been an offensive team. If Billick were really the genius everybody said he was, Baltimores offense would have shown it and they never did

Yes...I think he has been slightly overrated as a coach...While the Ravens were competitive in games(ex. Patriots), Billick has been given plenty of time over his Ravens career to do something with them...They do have the Super Bowl in 2000...but he has been mediocre since then...

What have they been doing about that aging defense? Wasn't he supposed to be brilliant on Offense? Well why didn't he stay as offensive Coordinator and coach, it seemed to be working at the end of last year. Seriously though it may have been his Man-Crush on Boiler that really did him in. I mean honestly he had a lot of injuries this year and that hurt. He had an old Defense and that hurt. He lost the team though. I mean Ray Lewis is supposed to be the Defensive leader as most see it and he was there whining about the offense early in the year. I think it is past time to get rid of Ray Lewis, but I think they picked him over Billick.
