Remove the battery and let the phone air dry for a day or two before attempting to use it - you may still be able to get some use out of it depending on the phone. I
've known two people with Motorola Razr's that have had phones go through the washing machine and work for weeks afterwards.

Depends how you washed it. If you completelt soaked in in water then it probably won't. However i do know someone who dropped their mobile in the toilet and they took out the battery and kept the mobile open to dry in the air and next day it worked! So try that I guess..

Remove the battery and, if you can, the antennae and anything else that you can dismantle. Let it all sit out and dry completely and then try it out. There's no telling, I've ran components of my computer through the dishwasher after having a rat deficate all in my pc tower, and hey it all worked.
Just do your best to disassemble it and let it dry. You're warranty is already voided so don't hesitate to pry it open as much as you think you can.

Ive tried something b4, and it worked after i (took mine swimming) but if you take the battery out and put the cell phone in the freezer for maybe a half hour, it will most likely work again when it isnt so cold... try it what do you have to lose?
